General World Models (GWMs) are a step toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). AGI is a computer intelligence that truly understands how the world works and can, given limited information, give reasonable predictions.
The first step to this is to give the program a sense of the world and how it works. That is the role of the GWM. Create a model of world in such a format that an AI can ingest it and make sense of it.
